Founded in November 1989, BHPI is a joint venture company between Babcock-Hitachi K.K. of Japan
(BHK), a world renowned boiler manufacturer, and Atlantic, Gulf and Pacific Company of Manila, Inc. (AG&P), a heavy
metal fabricator & power/industrial plant construction company.
BHPI Batangas Head Office occupies a land area of 5.22 hectares (52,246 sq.m.) within the compound of its parent company, AG&P, facing the Batangas Bay,
a prime location well-traversed by domestic and international shipping routes. The Batangas facility is also accredited under the Philippine Economic Zone
Authority (PEZA).
The facility is located in the Municipality of Bauan, Batangas, Philippines, approximately 16 km from Batangas City and about 130 km. south of Manila.
It is also accessible via the Alabang-Calamba-Sto. Tomas Expressway (South Luzon Expressway) and the Calabarzon Expressway (Star Tollway), the main artery
that connects Metro Manila to the southern provinces of Luzon.
BHPI's Batangas works houses the plant, the Office of the President, Project Management Office, and a majority of the company's departments, such as:
Management, Operations (Manufacturing), Design (Engineering), Quality Assurance, and Human Resources.
BHPI has a satellite office located within the Makati Central Business District where the company's Vice President, Marketing Department and Purchasing
Section are located.
